Matiere School is a small rural school in a valley surrounded by a picturesque landscape of hills. We are a full primary catering for (Year 0-8). In 2021, we have three classrooms: Years 0-2 Years 3-5 and Years 6-8 . We have a wonderfully supportive community and our school whanau are committed to ensuring that we are well equipped for quality teaching and learning.

We want our learners to leave Matiere proud life-long learners who present themselves well in all situations by showing respect and resilience, and taking ownership, in all of the choices and decisions that they make.
